A Few More!

More Photos

BirthdayPaloooza!

Goooood Evening!

We just finished birthday cake and baths and thought I'd send you a bunch of pictures from our evening while Jesse puts the boys to bed. It was an uneventful, but very nice birthday and going to a nice lunch at a restaurant on the lake in Waconia was FANTASTIC!

Joey and I celebrated our birthdays together tonight, complete with a very homemade lemon cake with white cream cheese frosting and a rainbow of colors drizzled on top! Now the boys are going to bed and we need to dial down our sugar rush with some BEER; We are going to watch the Twins, maybe sit outside for a bit and throw back a few beers!

Tomorrow Joey will be taking confetti cupcakes to Shelly's and he will be waking up to a Fire Truck balloon on his chair and Grands cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Stay tuned, we'll post some photos!

I don't know anything new at all, but wanted to make sure and post some photos and even some video (I hope it works) for you BEFORE we start consuming our beer.

Have a great evening and I'll talk to you later....tater,

Miss you so much!

Aspen......ah California!

Well today was such a beautiful day that Joseph and I decided to get on his motorcycle and ride down to Aspen, CO. It was a beautiful drive but a little long...my legs got sore from being in the same position for such a long time.

Along the way we stopped at Independence Pass....there is still snow on the ground there!!! It was so beautiful up there though, and a little bit cooler than when we were in Aspen. We just stopped quick in Aspen and grabbed a bite to eat and then headed back. It was pretty busy in town and we didn't know where anything was. We will have to go back again...maybe during the ski season.

Tonight we are going into town to watch a local band play and enjoy a few drinks! I can't have too many cause I have to work tomorrow at 9:00 A.M. I think I may check out the farmers market tomorrow over my lunch!!!

That is about all I know. I hope you all had a wonderful Saturday and found some time to relax a bit. I will try calling tomorrow afternoon when I am sitting at the office.

Much love from Colorado!

Ah...Friday!

Wow - running errands on a day off can be quite exhausting! I made it to Walmart this morning to pick up my prescription and $55 worth of other items. From there I headed to the Silverthorne outlet mall and Target!!! I don't know when the last time was that I got excited by the site of a Target store. Between the outlet mall and target I did a bit of damage, however I did find some nice things for my nephews and sister....oh and two shirts for myself at the Gap.

On the way back up the pass to Vail, I stopped at a scenic area and took the photos that are included in today's post. They are right outside of Frisco, CO and I believe that is Lake Dillion in the forefront of the picture...but not positive. I also included a picture of the 'Vail' town sign that I took while driving :)

Now, I am relaxing with my second glass of wine!!! I might go work out tonight but am thinking that it could wait until tomorrow. Joseph is out with the boys this afternoon/tonight and I might go meet up with one of the lady trainers from Joe's work and enjoy some wine with her!

I hope you had a good afternoon! I will get all the gifts out in the mail tomorrow - don't be upset when the box arrives at your door :) Have a great night and I will talk to you tomorrow!!!

My Friday

Well I made it through the first 4 days of work and have the next two days off!! For the first week I will have a different schedule that usual due to orientation Monday, however my regualr schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday (9-6).

I am going to run to WalMart tomorrow, stop by a consignment shop, go to the gym for a work out and hopefully get to enjoy some nice weather. Maybe go to bed, bath, and beyond but I am not sure if i will have time :)

It was nice talking to you while you ran into the office today before heading back to the park!! I hope you enjoy the mix I made for you and the boys to listen to in the car - I have the same CD and I listen to it often.

Have a wonderful day and I will talk to you soon! Attached are a fews picture of the store I work in. As you can tell it is nicely decorated for the 4th of July!!

Love and kisses from Colorado!

A little Surprise

Look at what was waiting on the table for me when I got home from work today!!! Joseph got them for me since it was my first day at the new job today! He also had dinner planned....buffalo chicken tenders, french fries and a beer to wash it all down with! A man after my heart :)

Work went well today, it was my first day working in the offices where I will be working going forward. There are still quite a few people out of the office as they are on vacation however I think next week everything will pick up quite a bit. My office is in the beautiful clock tower building in the heart of Vail Village (pretty cool actually). Tomorrow I will be working with Kristine who will be the other assistant I work closely with.

Tonight was a pretty low key after the glorious dinner I had...I sat and watched last nights episode of the Bachelorette on my computer - she is down to three guys now!!! Joseph is feeling a little under the weather and just woke up from a nice little nap.

Jesse, I LOVE the picture of you and Clay!! It was great to see a post from you on here - Joe is next on the list to post a little something for everyone. Glad to hear that band is going well and hopefully the competition this weekend ends in a Victory! Where are they marching this weekend? Be sure to take some good pictures and send them my way.

It was GREAT talking to Joey tonight!!! I can't wait until I know when it will work for me to come home and visit!!! Keep your eye out for a little package from Auntie in the mail...it should be arriving any day now.

Hugs, kisses and lots of love from Colorado,

Amy & Joe

What I've Been Up To

Hey, Amy and Joe. I keep meaning to post to this blog . . . but have been busy with another work deadline. Just another day in paradise at the Heartland, with another catalog coming out. Lots of great stuff to try and get people to buy! The band has been doing very well, but hasn't been able to win ANY Grand Championship awards. The big "Vikingland Band Festival" is this weekend, so we're hoping to get that one, as it's seen as sort of the "State Championship". I also wanted to share the latest picture of Clay and I. He's doing great and his new album is selling great, so he's thrilled with that. Glad to hear that things seem to be going well out in Colorado! Hope to see you guys soon. Later! ~Jesse

Work Orientation

HI There! Thanks for the pictures of the boys! They are growing like weeds...and Ben is now crawling!! Has he slimmed down any yet? OH and finally saying MaMa!?! That has to be exciting. Next you will have to work on 'Auntie'. How is Joey's speech going? Maybe I will call tomorrow night before bed time and talk to him....if your schedules will allow?! Then I can talk to you as well!! Let me know if tomorrow will work or what night might be best.

Well I made it through the orientation at work today!! It wasn't bad at all....I think the most difficult part of the day was having the patience to wait for the other lady I was training with to figure out the register/computer system. Today was just general training on the company and the policies, plus I stuck around for a little register training so that I know the system when Christmas season comes around so I can help on the floor if they need it at all. Tomorrow I am training with Leslie who used to be in the 'office manager' position. It will be nice to have some 'job specific' training and get comfortable in my surroundings.

Joe played hockey again tonight....but in the 'B' league this time!!! He did well for not feeling 100% and playing in a more difficult league.

I am going to head to bed so that I can be ready for day #2 at Gorsuch! Sorry I don't have any pictures to add today but maybe I will take some tomorrow of my work area/building. Shoot me an email to my gmail account if you want or shoot me a text and let me know about calling tomorrow night before bed.

I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!!!

XOXOXO
Amy

Happy Monday!

Amy~
I hope your training at work went well today. I really don't know much, but thought I'd post a photo of the boys from the parade on Saturday evening.
Oh, and Ben FINALLY figured out how to say "Ma Ma", which was really cool to hear for the first time! He is also pulling himself up in his crib and crawling around like crazy...not much longer and he'll be walking!
;)

Have a good Monday and I'll talk to you soon!

Prom Party and Shopping

Hi Everyone, I hope your Sunday was nice and relaxing! How did all of the events go yesterday? I am sure everyone was good and tired last night!

Last night Joe and I attended an engagement party for Molly (my new hair stylist) and there was an 80's prom theme. Since I found out about it on Friday when she cut my hair I was 'exempt' from being in costume!! Joseph did have a nice jacket to add to his work uniform and he also tight rolled his pants...crazy that he remembered how to roll his pants properly. After the party was finished at the club we headed into the village and did a little bar hopping, finally making it home around 2:00 this morning.

This morning we finally rolled out of bed around 10:00 and enjoyed some delicious Gands cinnamon rolls and a cup of coffee. Then we had to take the bus into town so that we could get our cars from the club because we left them there last night. Neither of us were OK to drive so we made the mature decision to have the bus bring us home last night!

After getting our cars we then decided to go to Silverthorne and check out the outlet mall!! I LOVE TO SHOP!!! They have many of the same store as Albertville so I didn't have any problems knowing what stores I wanted to go to. However they have a river that runs through the property of the outlet mall and there were people Fly Fishing in the river. We stopped into The Gap and I did a bit of damage there....however I did find some nice items that I will be able to wear for work and I also found a sun dress and some jean shorts. We were there for quite a few hours as Joe is very particular when he shops and makes sure to look at all of his options before he buys anything.

Tomorrow I have my orientation for work from 9-Noon and then my first day at Gorsuch is Wednesday. If you haven't checked out there website yet here is the link....remember I do get a 20% discount. http://www.gorsuchltd.com/ I am looking forward to getting back to work after 3 weeks and it will be nice to meet some more people.

Joe is finishing some reading for work and then we are going to watch a movie before heading to bed. Not sure what movie we are going to watch tonight but it is going to be a DVD and not VHS so that is a pretty big deal!

I hope to talk to you soon! Give the boys some love from Auntie Amy and tell Jesse HI for me.

Love you and Miss you!

BBQ Festival

So today was the Second Annual BBQ festival in the village!! I went and met Joseph at work and then we headed into the village to enjoy the festivities. This BBQ festival was a bit more low key than the festival we went to last weekend and that was fine with me! As you can see from the pictures Joseph enjoyed his BBQ today! We had a delicious pulled pork sandwich....or three and we each enjoyed a couple of beers! While we were walking through the village we saw an Elvis 'statue' -- imagine my surprise when he started walking!! We also took the bus into Lionshead Village and walked around a little bit but didn't see to much. Lionshead is where you go to get on the Gondola to ride to the top of the mountain...we skipped the ride today due to time, however, I am sure we will have plenty of opportunities to ride up to the top.

Other than that I didn't do too much today besides enjoying the beautiful weather we are having here today! Later tonight there is an engagement party for the girl who did my yesterday. They are having the party at the club where Joe works so I figure I would stop by for a little while since she invited me. Joe has to go back into work from 6-9 so I will have a little 'Amy Time' before heading into the party.

Tomorrow is the big Vail Farmers Market!!! I am excited to get up and head into the village for that! Hopefully we will find some good items to bring back to the house and use this week.

I hope your day went well and that you are able to relax a bit tonight and tomorrow! I am glad you like my hair cut. I don't think she went as inverted as she could on the 'bob' since I was a little nervous starting out.

I will talk to you later today or tomorrow! Give the boys a hug and kiss for me!

Love,

Amy

Very Nice!

Amy~
LOVE the haircut! It's not very "inverted", BUT Super Cute nonetheless! It makes me want to chop my hair off!!
I just got home, got Ben to bed and now I'm finishing up some laundry and going to vaccuum the downstairs rooms and kitchen and eating area.
I will be up and at 'em at 6am tomorrow. BIG Blues and BBQ event in the park and then the Lake Waconia Band Festival too. I'll be gone ALL day between work and Jesse's involvement with the band, but if I need a break from the sun OR can get a breather before the band festival I will run to my desk and add some pictures to the blog. If not, I'll blog on Sunday while the boys are taking naps.
I'm sorry Mom and Dad haven't really been very into the phone call thing...I'm not sure what is going on with them?
Have a good day on Saturday and I'll blog as soon as I"m able. Maybe I'll have Jesse send you a picture mail or two tomorrow on your phone.
I miss you, love you and LOVE your haircut!
;)
Take Care,
Sarah

Hair Cut!!

What is in a Hair Cut?! Well, when you have been going to the same hair stylist for 8 or 9 years and then have to trust some one totally new to cut your hair a certain way, it made me a little (a lot) nervous!!! However, Molly, did an excellent job giving me the 'Katie Holmes Inverted Bob' I asked her for. Kudos to Molly....I even plan to go back to her!!!

That was the big event of my day...I did get up at do yoga at 8:00 this morning! Now I am not sure what I will do for the next 4 hours or so. I plan on stopping by a little gathering at Joe's club as a 'Thank You' to the members for being patient during renovations. I know they will have snacks, beverages, mini facials, and beer/wine!!! After I stop in at that for a little bit I am going to babysit for Joe's bosses kids tonight. That is who we stayed with a couple nights back in March when we visited. Joe's boss makes some DELICIOUS home-made margaritas!!

Yesterday I watched some Lacrosse as there is a tournament in town that ends today, after that I headed into the Village for a Starbucks, and that was really my day. I spent a little too much time out in the sun yesterday and got burned. I guess at 9000 feet the sun is a little stronger than I thought! I have included a photo from the tournament yesterday as well as some before and after shots of the hair cut!

Do you have big plans for the weekend? I am not sure what we are going to be doing but I hope to spend some time outside and hopefully get to the Vail Farmers Market as well this weekend!!! Oh I noticed you changed the picture on the main page....very nice!

Give my love to the boys and tell Joey Auntie Amy says HI!!!

XOXO

I Scream, You Scream, Joey LOVES Ice Cream~

Amy,

Joey, Ben and Jesse brought a picnic dinner to the park and then Joey got to enjoy an ice cream treat too! I have included pictures of your eldest nephew and hope that they will provide you with a smile or chuckle.

Tell Joe "HI" from the Molnaus and make sure he gives you lots of hugs...since we can't.

Have a good night and Stay Classy-Vail!

Sarah

Watchin' some Hockey

Tonight was my first night to watch Joseph play hockey...he did good!! He plays in a 'C' League here through Vail Recreation. Unfortunately they lost tonight however, the team did well for the first game of the summer season.

That was about all of the excitement for my evening....other than calling and talking to my darling nephew quick before he went to bed. I am going to start getting up 'early' tomorrow to get my body on a schedule for when I go back to work. Tomorrow I am going to get up and do a Pilate's class at 9:00 and then get a few other errands done tomorrow and get out of the house a bit.

Enjoy the pictures of Joe out on the ice tonight (He is #22), I am going to enjoy a little Tommy Boy before bed! I will give you a call tomorrow while I am out running some errands.

Love to all!

Wednesday Night Softball and Testosterone Fill

Joe and Amy~
Nice pictures from Hanging Lake! I am jealous!

Tonight I get to go back to work and take in the beautiful views of the Waconia Softball fields and make sure that all my "boys" play nice in the sandbox.

I will be away from my desk a LOT the rest of the week, so my work cell or personal cell are the best places to reach me. Who knows, I may get in my car and not stop driving until I reach YOU! The way things are going, a new job may be in order for me sooner than later...OR...you'll see a story on the news about the Parks Chic Gone Postal! Seriously, I need a vacation BAD! Maybe I will start looking at using some vacation time this fall and you and I can plan out a time for Jesse and I to come out and visit.?

I hope you guys had a good day and Amy, I'm sure you're looking forward to starting your job next week.

Have a good night and if you get a chance, call Jesse's cell phone and talk to Joey tonight. He REALLY misses you both and still talks about going to Amy's House and that he had "Fun at Joe's house".

Talk to you soon,
Sarah

Hanging Lake

Yesterday Jospeh had the day off and we went for a hike at Hanging Lake - about an hour from Vail. http://hikingincolorado.org/hang.html I was a little surprised when we had to hike 2 miles UP to this lake...however it was well worth the workout! I can feel the hike today in my lower body...the legs and butt are a little sore. After we got back from the hike, I spoke with you on the phone before we headed out to watch some hockey at the local ice arena. The hockey is through the Vail Recreation District, however the teams we watched last night had the skills of College players...it was quite amazing to watch actually! Tonight Joseph is playing hockey so I will go watch his game and check out his skills on the ice.
Today I am not sure exactly what I am going to do, I was able to catch up on the Bachelorette last night so that is done. I was thinking of going into the club and taking a class or getting a work out in however, I will have to see how my legs are feeling.

Thanks for the pictures of the boys!! I love 'em! I will know for sure about a trip home next week when I start my job...to see if they would be OK with me taking some time off in August. Once I get the OK from them, I would book my ticket for a trip home. I will keep you posted though!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures from our hike yesterday!! Feel free to call when you have a chance as I know your summer activities are in full swing!!
Give the boys a BIG hug and kiss from Auntie Amy!
Later Tator!
Amy

Big Ben and Joey

Amy,

Here are some updated photos of the boys! We went to the park last night, Joey got his hair cut AND Ben has discovered his new favorite food...mandarine oranges!!!!

We had some BIG/MAJOR tears last night when Joey went to bed...he cried and cried and cried because he wanted to go to "Amy's House". Our little boy misses you lots and has been asking about you every day. ;(

I have a LONG day of work today; Softball tonight and a long day tomorrow too (Music in the Park) and a CRAZY weekend with the Blues and BBQ Festival and the Band Festival.

YIKES!

I hope you find time to do something fun today and we should take a look at a calendar and figure out when you'll be home AND when I/we can come visit you 2!

Miss you LOTS!

Sarah
