Working 9-6 on Labor Day weekend!

HI Everyone - So it is Labor Day weekend I am working Saturday, however it may just be the best Saturday EVER....that I have had to work :)

Over my lunch break I was able to enjoy a red velvet cupcake, a couple glasses of wine, shirtless firefighters and a beautiful day!!! NOT BAD. OH, and I was doing work out on the patio this afternoon so I was able to soak up the sun a bit :)

OK, so the picture of me in the helmet and other biking gear was because it has been sitting here for the past week and I was SO tempted to try it all on that I had to. All of the 'gear' belongs to the Grandson (Luke) of the founders of Gorsuch.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT BEN TOOK A FEW STEPS TODAY!!!!

Call me later or Tomorrow when you have time!

Love you and miss you!

Purple Mountains Majesty

I am so glad we got to the top of the mountain a little earlier tonight!!! We walked around the top of the mountain and snapped some GREAT photos. It is 8:30 and we are back already and Joseph is getting dinner ready!

We have a few options of what we can do the rest of the weekend but I think on Sunday we are going to have some people over and watch the big college rival game between the Colorado teams!

I hope you had a good night!! So in the last couple photos you will see the ski runs on the mountain, and in the very last picture you can barely see the top of a restaurant in the middle of the picture that is a little on the spendy side. Enjoy the photos we took tonight and I will call you tomorrow and chat a bit.

Love you and Miss you!!

A Quite Night

So here I sit on the couch watching the Girls Next Door and enjoying some quite time. Joe is at the last night of a hockey clinic at the ice arena in town and won't be home for about 45 minutes. I was going to read a bit but some how a glass of wine and relaxing sounded better.
The last few days at work have been quiet since most of the executives were out of the office at the photo shoot for the spring items for the catalog. Tomorrow most of them will be back in the office but they will be gone again by Friday afternoon!
We don't have any big plans for the weekend. There is an event right on Gore Creek Dr (right outside the office) and it includes food and wine!!! I may have to stop by on my lunch Saturday while I am at work :)
Well I am going to let you go for the night but wanted to write and say HI. OH, I found this picture Joe's camera and thought I would share it with you. It is when Joe and Noah first bought their keg-o-rator back in MN.
Give the boys a hug and kiss from Auntie Amy...and tell Jesse Hi for me :)
Love you and miss you TONS

I'm Running, I'm Dying and I'm NOT Happy About It!

~Amy~
I've got a quick 2 minutes to post a few photos from the Stiftungsfest 5K today!

Yeah, so I was not enthused about running this morning, but quickly tried to change my attitude when Jake and Lindsay showed up and we were walking up to the park to check in. As you will notice by the photos, I start out looking relaxed and happy and by the time I'm at the top of the final hill and turning the final corner I look...not so jazzed, shall we say.
;)
Jesse has the boys in the bath tub and Ben is crying. I am glad you had fun at the FAC and the top of the mountain on Friday and it looks like Joe has found some "pretty" friends. Have a good night and I'll talk to you on Monday!

Good Night!

Friday Afternoon Club

Hi Molnaus!

WOW was it tough coming into work this morning!! Joseph and I went up to the top of the mountain last night for Friday Afternoon Club (FAC) and had a 'few' beers! FAC is a chance to ride up to the top of the mountain for free and then enjoy some activities, drinks and socialize with Vail Valley's finest. Afterwards we stopped at a local bar, Garfinkles, and had a few more drinks before calling it a night and taking the bus home.

Joseph was at work at 6:00 this morning!! EW! I am working my normal hours today so I will be done in a short 4 1/2 hours! Tonight we are planning on doing something a little more low key...watching the Vikings game in the comfort of our own home!! So the first thing I am planning on doing when I get home is to putting on comfy clothes and planting it on the couch!

How was the firefighter challenge?!? A the good old days at Stiftenfest!! I always 'fell asleep' early when I came out ....hmmm. I am excited to see some photos from the weekend!

Nothing exciting planned for my weekend - I think I am going to find myself a serving job though. Need the extra $$ and it will be another way for me to meet people. OH, there is a baby shower for a co-worker tomorrow afternoon that I am going to, but other than that I hope I can relax by the pool the next couple of days. I need to get some color on this pale skin of mine!

Well, back to work! Enjoy the pictures from FAC - do you like the one of the three boys?! Can you tell that I said 'hey the three of you go over there and I will take a picture?' The boys are; Michael Payne, Jason, and Joseph - they all work together at the Aria Club.

Love you and miss you!

Concert in the park

Hi there!! How is everything going for you today? I am doing well, just enjoying my Wednesday at work.

Last nights concert in the park was PACKED!! There were so many people there - I don't know where they all came from. I guess it is a huge social event here in Vail, and I happened to make it out to enjoy the last concert of the season. I have included a couple pictures from the event...I wasn't supposed to have my camera inside the amphitheater so I limited the amount of photos I took. I did manage to get a picture of the view from the concert as well as the stage area...oh and one of myself and Joe!

OH - guess who I finally saw!! Yup Ryan, Trista and their little boy! I actually met Ryan because Joe was talking to him a bit. They know each other through Joe's club because Ryan used to work out there quite a bit when Joe was out here a few years ago.

We don't have much planned for tonight...and I am fine with that! We are going to have Enchiladas tonight cause we didn't get around to making them last night. I am hoping to catch the Gymnastics Showcase tonight on the Olympics and other than that I might do some reading.

Thanks for the post card!! I have it up by my desk at work! I got it this morning when I stopped by the post office and it made me smile :) I have included a photo of another Joe that might make you smile.

Have a wonderful day!

Love,

Amy

Rub A Dub Dub, 2 Boys in a Tub!

Good Evening!

I just finished my first drink, put the boys to bed and decided to blog and post a couple photos of the boys.

Today is the Waconia Fire Dept. 125th Celebration. We went to the parade this morning and then I gave Jesse the "Day OFF" and took care of the boys all day so that he could go out on the pontoon boat with Christian and a bunch of friends and then he has to Stand By at the Waconia Fire Station from 7pm until 9pm.

Joey was terrible this morning, but turned it around just in time to get me to take him and Ben to Pizza Ranch for lunch. We got home, the boys went down for naps...BUT...Ben wouldn't nap! He cried for 2 hours, I felt like I was going to lose my mind and I was about 2 seconds from crying. I decided to take the boys to church, you know...1hour of peace, quiet and a whole lot of meditation by yours truly! BAD IDEA! Joey wouldn't sit anything close to still, Ben was fussy (ear infection and sinus infection and teething) and I ended up having to take them out of church during the sermon, THEN we finally get back to the pew in time to throw our money in the plate and Ben startsw freaking out! So, I pack up the books and toy fire trucks and sucked back tears and led the boys out of church...AGAIN!

I started bawling on the drive home and all I could think of doing was calling you to meet me in EP, AND THEN I realized you weren't here and I had no one to call for sanity and I just pretty much sobbed the entire way home.

It has been a long day and I am so excited to sip on a little of the Captain, read my book, maybe paint my toe nails and then go to bed.

I hope your day at work went fast and that you do something fun tonight. I miss you a lot and hope that we can figure out a way to get out to see you 2 sooner than later.

Have a good night and I hope you like the photos!

Love and Miss,

Sarah

Happy Saturday!

Hello Molnau's!! I hope your weekend is getting off to a great start! I am sitting at my desk ready for a low key day at work!

Last night I went to see the local production of "Willie Wonka" at the Vilar Center in Beaver Creek with Polly. Her two youngest kids (Maddie and Wayatt) were Oompa Loompas in the play and they did a fantastic job!

We don't have any big plans for the rest of the weekend. I am hoping to get some time out by the pool and read my book on my days off but I am not sure if that will happen :( I may have to settle for the couch and a cup of coffee/wine as it is supposed to be cool and cloudy most of the weekend. There may be snow up in the mountains tonight!!! Does Mother Nature know it is still August!?!?

That is all I know right now, I know it was nothing exciting but I thought I would at leat put up a post!

I will talk to you soon!

Love,
Amy

Gymnastics...GO USA!!!

So here I sit on the couch waiting for the Women's All Around to start...Polly and I are finishing up the 1st bottle of wine and she just left to get another bottle!!

I love the pictures you posted of Joey from a while ago!!! Could you do me a favor and send me the photo of me in the life jacket??

I called tonight and you were out working but I talked to Jesse and Joey on my way home from the grocery store. OH, just an FYI...Joey wants to come visit me on an airplane. You can send him alone if you want and I will take good care of him :)

Don't know much else but wanted to write and say HI!! I miss you already and can't wait until you come out here OR I make it home for another visit before ski season!!!

I will talk to you soon....I am off to eat some BBQ chicken pizza and watch gymnastics in about a hour when they finally show coverage of the AA competition.

Love you and Miss you!!!

Amy

I got nothin'

I hope you and Joe had fun cooking out and drinking wine and playing hockey last night. We watched the Olympics, ate ice cream and Joey fell asleep cuddling with me. SO cute!

I was going to watch the Men's Gymnastics, but got tooooo annoyed waiting for them to actually cover the sport. So, I had a captain-diet and a sleeping pill and went to bed.

;)

I don't know anything else useful or intersting...BUT I did think you'd get a kick out of these photos! I found these from 2 summers ago and just died laughing, gosh he's cute!

Hump Day!

So, here I sit at work...

AND I have so many things to do that I don't even know where to start and I have softball tonight AND we have 2 guys out on vacation! I figured that the best way to deal with the stress was to take a 5 minute break and post a blog for you.

If you notice, I have changed the main photo (temporarily) in the upper left hand corner...it was too funny to not put up. I have also included a picture of Jesse with the boys from last night and the one of all us girls with the grandmas. I may post a few more photos, but at this point I am not sure; you'll have to just scroll down and see what you find!

I hope your day is going well and that you will have some time to read or drink wine or veg in front of the TV tonight!

Have a great day and tell Joe that we say HI!

Back to work

After all the fun had over the weekend it was back to work for me today :( I have been burried in mail all day I feel like I work for the United States Postal Service!! I had 4 days worth of mail waiting for me when I arrrived this morning and I finally finished around 1:00 and then the mail man dropped off another bag at 3:00!

Tonight I plan to sit on the couch and watch the women's gymnastics team compete for gold!! Michael Payne is going to come over and watch the Olympics as well - he used to teach back in Virginia so I have someone out here to talk 'gymnastics' with and will understand what I am saying :)

Thank you again for letting me crash at your place Friday and Saturday while I was in town, and also for being my chauffer those first two days as well. I am bummed that we didn't get any pictures of just you and me while I was home :( I have attached a few pictures from my time home over the weekend.

Well, I should get back to the mail. It was GREAT to see you and the boys (including Jesse) while I was home!

Have a good night - talk to you soon!

Love

27Hours, 20minutes and Just Seconds...but Who's Counting!!!

Amy~

I took the day off so that I could get the house cleaned and organized for when you visit! I am busy organizing the office, vaccuuming, dusting and maybe even picking up a carpet cleaner today to.

Plus, I have to go to Chaska to meet "Wags" for lunch, so I think I'll hit up Target for some candles and air fresheners and basic groceries (We'll make a quick stop for the important stuff tomorrow on our way home). So, get ready for a FUN trip to good 'ol MN Targets!!!

I think we're going to graze our way through the fair for dinner tonight and then I'll come home to finish cleaning and that's when Jesse will clean the family room carpet. He doesn't know that is in the master plan yet, but he'll find out when he needs to....minor detail, right!?

Well, the house should be spiffed up, clean and smelling homey for you! I'll grab the queso and chips and beer for Friday night if you can please take care of picking up some "trashy" mags for us to read (you on the plane and me while we hang out)!!!

I am so excited for you to get here, please email me your flight number, airline and time of arrival so that I can check on your status in the morning. I'll probably just plan to pick you up curb-side at the airport, down by the baggage claim.

Take care and I'll talk to you tonight!
Miss you!

Started to pack....

Last night when I got home from work I pulled out my suitcase and started to pack up all the goodies I would need for this weekend while I am home!! I don't know how I am going sleep at all tomorrow night....maybe I will drink a couple glasses of wine :) NOT as much as I had Friday at the wedding!

I love the pictures of the boys from National Night Out. There can never be too many photos of Joey sitting in a fire truck...as long as he is NEVER sitting in the back of a police car! And Ben looks like he has slimmed down a bit...is that true? Is he losing his baby fat!?!

Tonight I am going to watch Joseph play hockey at 6:30 - I figure since it is right after I get done with work I can drive over and watch the game. Maybe I will get a little warm treat from Starbucks before I head to the rink.

Other than that, I don't have any big plans the next 48 hours before coming home. I am saving my energy and fun for this weekend!! Just think of all the pictures we will have to share on the blog from the visit home.

I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL FRIDAY!!! I was even excited when Park Nicollet called to confirm my appointment...is that wrong?

SEE YOU SOON!!

Love,
Amy

National Night Out

Amy~

NYA had their first ever National Night Out in the Park, and Jesse took the boys! So, I have included one of Joey and his friend Braeden (they're in preschool together), one of Joey driving the fire truck and one of Ben "enjoying" the evening!

Hope you had a great night and I'll talk to you on Wednesday!

Love you,

Sarah

Helloooooooo

WOW do you look drunk in the picture next to the speakers!!!! Holy Hannah!

Nothing new to report here, just plugging away until you get here on Friday. I have National Night Out tonight and softball tomorrow night and NO work Thursday night and then you'll be here on Friday...THANK GOD!

I have lots of stuff that you can help me with in order to get ready for party-palooza Saturday and if you'd like, I can stop at the party store and we can get you your very own party hat!

I have included a couple pictures of Joey and Lindsey feeding the horses at Dale and Martha's place, hope you like.

I have a 3pm appointment to cut my hair today...I can't take it anymore, so maybe I'll post a photo of that later too!

Anyway, have a good day and I'll talk to you soon! Tell Joseph "HELLO" from all the Crazy Molnaus!

Love and Miss YOU,

Sarah

A few extra photos

Here are a few pictures I snapped of some older Corvettes while we walked the streets of Frisco today on our way home.

Wedding Crashers

Phew -two weddings in one weekend.....exhausting! I heard the 'usual' wedding dance songs and couldn't help but think of the movie 'Wedding Crashers'. Friday night I think I drank at least a bottle of wine all by myself at the reception here in Vail!!! As you can see from the picture of me by the wall at the end of the night, I was feeling pretty good! The rough part was going to work at 8:00 Saturday morning. I have also included a photo of Joseph and myself from Friday out near the golf course - don't we clean up nicely.

Yesterday's wedding in Winter Park was beautiful even though it began to rain as we were taking our seats for the ceremony to begin. The wedding was quickly moved inside and the ceremony took place in front of the fireplace. Our room at the resort was a studio condo with appliances right out of the 70's and a Murphy bed!!

Today we were on the road around 9:30 and took a nice scenic drive back home! Along the way we stopped by beautiful Grand Lake for a little bit. It reminded me of nothern MN with mountains in the background. We also drove through the Rocky Moutain National Park a little bit before heading back towards Vail. We stopped in Frisco, CO to grab a bite to eat and there happened to be a Corvette show on Main Street that we walked through.

Only 4 long days of work to get through this week before I come home for a visit!!!

See you soon!!

Love,

Amy
