only 8 more days!!!

Can you believe that I will be back in 8 more days!?!? I can't believe it - the time has gone quickly!

I wanted to blog today because I am not sure when I will get the chance tomorrow as we have a wedding here in Vail over at the Golf Course! We also have a wedding on Saturday in Winter Park, CO - about an hour and a half away from here towards Denver. Joseph and I will stay the night in Winter Park and do a bit of sight seeing on Sunday so you will get to see LOTS of great pictures over the next couple of days!

The wedding tomorrow is for a friend he met while he was out here for his intership and the wedding on Saturday is for a friend from high school. They had an 'engagement party' back in MN on Lake Minnetonka last week and then having the ceremony out here.

Great pictures of Waconia!! It is nice to see the pictues of MN and not have to deal with the humidity :) Today is was sunny, 80 with a slight breeze, and NO humidity! It sounds like you will have a busy weekend as well! Is this when Jesse has the firefighter challenge?

I hope that all is going well and I can't wait to see everyone!!

Love,
AMY

Beautiful Waconia!

Amy,

So I am feeling bad because I haven't blogged in a while and I really don't know much new, but thought I'd post some pictures that I took while I was out doing stuff for parks yesterday.

I have Music in the Park tonight and Art in the Park tomorrow morning (which I would be fine with cancelling/I'm hoping for rain)!

This weekend we have Jesse's firefighter softball tournament Friday-Saturday-and-Sunday and we also have Abby's birthday party Saturday at 4pm. Oksana is spending the night and watching the boys from about 7pm onward, so that we can head back up to the tournament and hang out with adults and drink some beer...without the kids.

;)

I hope all is well out in Colorado and I can't wait to have you home on Friday! Just think, in a little over a week, you'll be here! Can't wait to give you a hug and hang out and have everyone together!

Love and Miss YOU!

Drawing a blank

OK - so I couldn't think of a 'subject' for this blog so you will have to deal with the above for today.

The rest of my day went well! The last few hours of work passed by quite quickly so that helped the day move along! For dinner Joseph made enchiladas for the first time and they turned out quite well! I enjoyed 3 glasses of wine while being the 'sous chef' :) I don't know if it was the right wine to pair with enchiladas but it tasted quite delicious!

I think we are going to watch a movie before heading to bed and calling it a day. Besides the picture of the bottle of wine, I have also attached a picture of what I believe is the 'Gore Range' here in Colorado....I took the picture while driving home on the frontage road tonight.

I hope you were able to enjoy some quiet time tonight after the boys went to bed! Hopefully the Twins chalked up a win tonight! I can't wait until we set up cable....football and baseball - what will I do with all of those cute tushes to look at!!!??

See you soon!!!!

A Rainy Day in Vail

Another Saturday at work almost complete and I thought I would share a few pictures of the rain/hail we received here this afternoon. Usually it will rain in the afternoon for about an hour, but nothing like today! I actually enjoyed the thunderstorm....it reminded me of Minnesota a bit.

My morning started out with 4 dozen cookies and a dozen doughnuts waiting for me at the Post Office :) Grandma Bonnine sent me a nice little care package! It is a good thing I have started to work with a personal trainer so I don't feel as guilty eating all those cookies :)

While I was enjoying my PB&J at my usual picnic table by the river, a lady sat down who was visiting Vail for the day and we ended up talking through my entire lunch!

Tonight Joseph and I are going to see Step-Brother at the Eagle Theater...it is about 25-30 minutes away! Other than that, I am going to catch up on some reading this weekend and hopefully go sit out by the pool on my days off!

Enjoy your quite night with just Ben around. I hope he feels better soon so he is back to his happy little self! Tell Jesse I say 'What Up?'

Tonight will be Soooo Quiet!

Amy~
We just got home from dropping Joey off with Dad. They are headed down to Waseca for the night and then Dad is going to take Joey out on the duck boat and to visit Grandma Ann. Grandma Bonnie is down in LaCrosse today for Tara-Jean Freeman's wedding, so Joey won't get to see her.
We had Ben back to the clinic this morning and they re-checked him...he's got a sinus infection and is one PISSY littl man! Lots of tears and easily set off, which has been tons of fun!
;)
I have no idea what Jesse and Ben and I will do tonight...and don't really care, hopefully it doesn't take a lot of energy what ever it is that we end up doing.
I hope you have a good rest of the weekend and maybe we'll take some pictures of Ben or something and then post them tomorrow.
Well, I got nothin' else.
Have a good afternoon!

2 weeks!!!

I know I make fun of Joe for playing video games, but when you don't have cable set up, it is one of the few things to do in order to keep yourself entertained...so I joined in the fun tonight and played some Super Mario Bros...wow did that bring back the 'good ole days' at Grandma Bonnie's!

Can you believe that in only 2 weeks from tomorrow I will be hanging out with you at your house?!!? I hope these next couple of weeks FLY by!

Work is going well - I keep finding ways to keep myself busy until it picks up a little bit. Next Thursday some of the girls I work with are going to have a BBQ for someone's last day! I think it will be fun to go and see what they are all like outside of work.

I really don't know too much new and exciting to share but thought I would post a few pictures from when I was walking back to work after walking to the ATM machine. There is a photo of the mountian and another one of the creek I sit by during my lunch hour. I think all of the snow is finally melted off the hill and everything has turned green! OH, some of the wildflowers are really starting to bloom out here as well!

I hope you had some time to relax after setting up the 'Taste of Waconia' today. Feel free to give me a call tomorrow if you get a chance otherwise we can catch up this weekend.

Give the boys my love! How is Ben feeling? Any better?

See you in 2 weeks!!

I'm Drowning!

Amy,

I am buried and work and feel like I'm goin' under! Seriously, I told my boss today that we need to plan these events out better and that something like the Taste of Waconia is more than one person should have to plan on their own...his response was...a blank stare. Now, I should have know that such a typical male response was coming, BUT, seriously...can someone throw me a frickin' bone here!?!?!?!

Anyway, the boys and I went for like a 2 mile walk tonight. Jesse was working late and I couldn't stand the thought of being in and around the house all night!!! Since we happened to have to walk past the DQ, we stopped for an ice cream cone and banana blizzard, which was justified by the fact that we walked 2 miles.

I've been working really hard on watching what I eat and TRYING to exercise more and so far I've lost 8 pounds. So, hopefully in a couple weeks when you get here I'll be one sexy bitch!
;)

Well, I should go fold some laundry and unload the dishwasher before Jesse gets home. Hopefully, I have a "visitor" here in the next day or two...or else, I may not be drinking while you're home! YIKES!

Have a fantastic night. I miss you LOTS and can't wait to hang out with you when you come to visit!!!

'Slippery Little Suckers'

I write to you tonight from the comfort of my bed with a glass of wine on the night stand and watching 'Pretty Woman'!

Today was my 'Sunday' so I had the day to run some errands and enjoy the beautiful day here. I did make it into the gym for a training session with Michael Payne. I think I am going to be a little sore tomorrow...but that is OK with me cause I know I got a good workout in!

Last night Joseph and I went over to a BBQ at the house of one of my co-workers. We hung around for a couple of hours and visited. We also enjoyed some FANTASTIC food - and beverages of course!

Other than that, I didn't really do a whole lot today and I have to say that it was pretty nice. Tomorrow it is back to work for me....should be interesting cause I think the 'main lady' will be back in the office.

I hope all is well and that you are feeling better. I will catch up with you tomorrow.

See you soon!!

Relaxing Sunday

Hello All!

I hope that you all enjoyed your time in Rochester at Dustin's wedding! You better have taken lots of photos and post some later when you have a chance :)

It's another beautiful day here in Vail, the sun is out and I am enjoying the sounds of the creek as I type this fine morning. I am not sure exactly what Joe and I are going to do today...I might run into the farmer's market, we have a movie to watch, maybe get out for a walk...or sit by the pool. A co-worker of mine is having a BBQ at his house this afternoon so we may stop by there as well for a little bit.

Last's nights performance was wonderful! Joseph did an excellent job playing his saxaphone with the boys! I have included a few pictures...sorry they aren't the best but it was a little dark in the bar.

I hope you all enjoy your Sunday! Give me a call later if you have a chance, it would be great to hear all about the wedding!

Love you and Miss you

Another Day at Work

Well, its Friday at 5:41 and since I have a few minutes before I head out, I thought I would share a few pictures I took while at work today :)

Sorry I wasn't able to talk much earlier...it was CRAZY here today...I think it had to do with the full moon. The day did fly by and now I am getting ready to go get my facial at the club and enjoy some wine as well!!!

Hopefully movie in the park went well tonight! Have fun at the wedding tomorrow! Tell Dustin congratulations for me and be sure to take LOTS of pictures to post on the blog ;)

OH, so the pictures - the first one is of my 'office' area - that is my desk to the right and the stairs in the back of the picture lead up to the clock tower where I took the picture of the mountain and the view of the village. I have also included a picture from my chair so basically my view for 8 hours! And yes, that is Gmail open on my computer...

OK, I am going to finish up here and go get my facial!

See you soon!

Love you and miss you all!

Blogging while at work

I am being a bit rebelous today and blogging you while I sit at my desk. I have 45 minutes left of work and the minutes are ticking by...tick...tick...tick. Overall it has been a good day and it has gone by fast. I was able to get out this afternoon cause I had to run some documets to an 'off site' location.

Tonight I am going to hit up the open gym at the gymnastics club - it is from 7:30 - 9:00 but I am not sure if I will stay the entire time or just stay for an hour. After dinner with Joe last night we just sat in the kitchen and talked a bit. Then I went and sent a quick email, then started to read my book but fell asleep before getting through a page :)

So only 21 days til I come home to visit!!! Yes, I have officially started counting down the days until my visit. I will probably start packing 5 days before I leave like I do when I go on any trip!

Sorry this isn't that exciting of a blog but I thought I would shoot a quick message before I went too many days without blogging :)

I love you and miss you!! See you in 21 days!!

XOXOXO

Taco Tuesday

Hello!

I am sitting enjoying my second Miller Chill while writing the blog tonight....yummy! We had company join us tonight for dinner...the one and only "Payne" stopped by after work and joined us for dinner and now the boys are playing video games on the computer. They are like a couple of 12 year old boys hanging out on a 'play date' :) It is quite entertaing to be observing them though...one is giving the other 'pointers' while one of them is playing the game. Right now Joe is playing Legends of Zelda and Payne is 'coaching' him.

How was the rest of your day? Did you get to enjoy some Sarah time? My day was good, the afternoon flew by and that is always a plus! So I was talking to Mom and Dad....and the Neary's while I was making dinner and Dad thought I was you on the phone for a second.

Do you have a fun night of softball tomorrow night? I think Polly is going to come over to enjoy a few drinks at our place tomorrow after work and that is about it. Thursday I am going to try and make it to open gym again for a little bit.

That is about all I know for now....I am going to enjoy my Miller Chill and enjoy some more of my book! I got a new book yesterday at Target...I am now reading 'Plain Truth' by Jodi Picoult. I am only 50 pages in and the story is pretty good. Check out the link http://www.jodipicoult.com/plain-truth.html.

I will talk to you tomorrow!!

Love you and Miss you!

Pool Day

Hello there! Hopefully things have settled down around the house after having Joey's Birthday party at your house today.

Today was a nice, lazy day for myself and Joseph! I went and sat by the pool for a couple hours and now I have a nice pink color to my skin. Check out the view I get to enjoy while lounging my by the pool! While I was at the pool, Joseph stayed back at the apartment and played some 'old school' Nintendo games on his computer. In the picture attached he is playing "Blades of Steel".

Tonight we made one of the best meals I have had since moving out here....I know I sound like mom telling you what we had for dinner but it was SO good that I have to share it! ;) We marinated a piece of fresh Salmon and the grilled that on the 'community grill' they have here at the racquet club and we had some grilled red potatoes as well! YUM-O!!

We are getting ready to watch a movie and just enjoy the rest of our relaxing Sunday! Tomorrow I am planning to run to Target on my day off!! BIG DAY! I am also going to get that stuff in the mail for you and put a CD in there for Joey to rock out to!

Hope all is well and I am sorry I missed out on all the fun today. It sounded like you were going to have lots of great food to enjoy and of course the Fish Cake!! OH, how are Joey's fishes?
I will catch up with you tomorrow!

Love you and miss you all!

Down at the 'lake'

Tonight I spent the night on a private lake about 35 minutes away from Vail. The lake is located in Dotsero, CO and small compared to lakes back home in Minnesota. Joe's boss is lucky enough to have access to the lake so that is how we were able to go down and enjoy the area! There is a play area for kids, trampoline, campsites, and a BBQ area right at the lake. The boys stayed behind at the lake and are camping out but since I am working in the morning, I figured it would be best if I slept at home.
Can you believe that tonight was the first time I had to deal with mosquitoes since moving out here!?! Wow, I remember how much a of a pain they are!! If you could make sure the mosquitoes and humidity are gone when I come to visit that would be great!!

By the time we all got to the lake, the sun was beginning to set so there wasn't much skiing/surfing tonight but I believe the boys will get some time in the water tomorrow before they head for home. Joe did get out on the lake and did a little bit of 'surfing' behind the boat as did Dan (his boss). We also enjoyed a bit of fishing but only Joe and Dan's brother were lucky enough to catch fish.
Tomorrow I work all day and then I think I will head into the village with Polly, one of the trainers that works at Joe's club, and grab a glass of wine and share some 'girl talk'.
Enjoy the photos from the lake! I need to get to bed so that I am rested for work tomorrow.

Hope you all had a WONDERFUL Friday and I will talk to you tomorrow!

Love,

Amy

Busy Day

Hello -

How was the Teddy Bear Band at music in the park tonight? Hopefully the boys enjoyed themselves and danced a bit.

My day was good - busy but good. One of the founders of the company I work for was in the office as well as her son John who I will be assisting going forward. Kristine (the executive assistant to the family) is out on vacation this week so I was 'on call' all day for whatever was needed. I did go out to lunch with a co-worker (Leslie), we went to grab a slice at Vendetta's in the village...yum-o! Leslie also enjoys wine and doesn't live that far from me so I think we may enjoy a day out by the pool one of these days and then maybe some wine after!

I was quite surprised when I saw the newest issue of Heartland America's catalog in the mail bag today at work, but when I saw my Nephew in the catalog...I was so pumped!! I showed it to the people in the office!!! I even managed to find the waistband expander in the catalog as well....my co-workers were intrigued by the waist band expander and how it worked.

Joseph went to work out tonight after work so I am just enjoying a glass of wine and hanging out for a bit. I was going to meet up and enjoy a glass of wine with one of the trainers that Joe works with but it just didn't work out tonight. I think we may have a 'girls night' on Saturday so that we can go out and have some fun while talking about boys and how they aren't always the smartest :)

Hopefully the boys are tucked tight in their beds and you and Jesse are enjoying some 'quiet' time before heading to bed. I will catch up with you tomorrow! Oh, check out the photo of Joe I found from his brother's wedding last summer!! He has some good dance moves!!

Love you and Miss you!

Skipping Hockey Tonight

HI There!!

Instead of watching hockey tonight, I decided to stay home and put on my purple fuzzy slippers and enjoy a glass (or two) of wine and just relax a bit and have some "Amy Time". After I blog I am going to read some more of my book....yes you read right - I am reading something other than a people magazine :) I have had this book since last March when Joseph and I came to visit Vail....then it sat on my shelf at home.

Hopefully you were able to head home early like you had planned. The 'beer margaritas' you mentioned sound FANTASTIC!! I would love to have a few when I come home to visit.

I don't know much else since talking to you this afternoon. I am going to get to reading and try to get to bed early tonight. Some of the executives will be in the office tomorrow and I am the only assistant in the office right now so I have a feeling I will be busy tomorrow!

The picture attached is from walking around the village after I had finished enjoying my lunch down by the creek today. A local artist was in doing some paintings for an upcoming show at his gallery. The above picture will be selling in his gallery for about $2,000!!

I will try to get some good photos this weekend so I can post them on the blog.

Catch up with you tomorrow!!!

Amy

Band Geek Wannabee!!!

Can you say future BAND GEEK?!?!?!

1 Month!

Amy,
I can't wait for you to visit either! AND, that is the night of the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics, so we'll have to toast all those buff athletes with a few 12oz curls!!!!
I have a crazy day and will be in and out of the office for a majority of the day, and then I have softball tonight too, so it will be 9ish before I even get home! YIKES

Joey is in swimming lessons right now and I am trying to multitask and avoid being a distraction to him, however, I should make sure that he's behaving and try to watch part of his lesson now.

Have a good day and I'll try to blog tonight before bed.

Love you,
Sarah

Feeling Old

Wow, wanna know how to make yourself feel old?! Go to open gym for an hour and try to do gymnastics like you used to do when you were 15!! I am lucky that open gym was only for an hour tonight, otherwise I think my legs may have collapsed. I am pretty sure I will be a little sore tomorrow morning. Overall it actually went really well at the gym tonight. The trampoline isn't like what I am used to working out on but oh well. I did some tumbling on the 'tumble track' and also did a little mini trampoline tonight.

After open gym I caught up on the finale of the Bachelorette and watched the 'After the Final Rose' special as well. I was a little surprised by her decision however it looks as if the two of them are happy and in love!

Work went well today - it was my Monday so getting out of bed this morning was a bit difficult but the day flew by and tomorrow is Wednesday already!!!

I loved the previous post from you and Joey!! He was funny the other night on the phone when you called before putting him to bed.

A month from today I will be back in MN for the weekend!!! I CAN'T WAIT!! It will be so nice to hang out with you Friday and be there for the party on Saturday and have some good ole 'sister bonding time'.

Well, I am off to bed. Give the boys a hug and kiss for me!!!

Love you and see you soon!

Good Night!

Hey there Amy and Joe!
It's just Sarah and Joey sending you a good night message before we turn in for the evening. Today we went to Target and then went up to Mom and Dad's place for my birthday lunch. It was nice to have Kevin, Barb and Karen there...but it was definitely NOT the same without you guys there. It was actually really sad and wierd not having you there.
It was 90 degrees today and HUMID, so we have tried to lay low since returning from Mom and Dad's place. Joey and Jesse had a heated game of baseball and Ben played outside while I got their dinner ready. Jesse and I passed on dinner...too hot to eat anything! Jesse ran to go hit balls and practice softball with the fire department tonight; they're getting ready for their big tournament the first weekend in August. I figured Jesse would be hungry when he gets back, so I put some beer in the fridge and mixed up a light caesar salad mix and grilled up and chopped up a seasoned chicken breast to toss in it. Hopefully this will be a nice, refreshing surprise when he gets back.
I don't know much else, but though Joey and I would send a message before he heads off to bed. WE are watching Barney's Camp Wannarunaround and then it's off to bed for the Joe-Dude. Joey has a big day tomorrow: Speech with Emma at 7:30, Swimming Lessons at 9:30 and then off to Shelly's!!! Jesse has fire department meeting tomorrow night and I"ve got some Archiver's coupons burning a hole in my pocket, so I think I may take the boys to the mall....but again, not as fun since you're not here to meet us!!!
Let me see if Joey has anything to say:
"I love you" "Hi Joe" What else Joey? "Have fun Colorado!" and I'm adding in/prodding him to say, "You missed chocolate cake today...with chocolate frosting!"
Alright, Barney is done and I need to do some cleaning after I get Joe-Dude in bed...He's got freshly washed TRANSFORMERS/Robot sheets on his bed!!!!
Have a great nigh and we love and miss you both a lot!
Take care,
Hugs and Kisses!

The Day after the 4th!

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! Mine was nice, we were up at a BBQ on the hill and then we went into the village for a little bit. We did manage to catch the firework show right as we got off the town bus. It was not too crazy of a night for us at all...I had to work this morning and Joe ended up going into work as well.

I am glad your package arrived with all the birthday 'goodies' inside!! I will have to record another message on the phone when I am home in August!!! Use the Gap gift card to get yourself a little something. Sorry it is nothing exciting, but I know you will enjoy using it!

Joe and I are getting ready to head over to Edwards and see 'Get Smart' with Steve Carrell and Anne Hathaway. I will let you know how it is. Other than that, just a low key night here for Joseph and myself.

Tomorrow I am going to get a work out in and go lay by the pool at the Racquet Club where we live!! I need to get some color on my legs before I even think about wearing shorts in public :)

I will catch up with you tomorrow before bed time for the boys. Hopefully my darling nephew is a little bit more cooperative tomorrow when it comes to eating his meals!

Love you all!!

'Hump Day'

Hi Everyone!!! Hopefully Jesse is home and relaxing after helping with the HUGE fire there was out near you all today! I feel like it has been DAYS since I have last bolgged - even though I have talked to you pretty much every day since coming out here blogging has become somewhat of a habbit!

I just returned from watching another thrilling game of Vail Recreation District 'C' League hockey!!! The team lost tonight but Joseph still played well...his team was a little 'out of it' tonight and not communicating well.

I have included a picture taken from my new lunch spot where I go to get out of the office and enjoy my lunch time right by the creek! There are a few picnic tables right along the creek and I usually bring my copy of the Vail Daily with me to read while I enjoy my lunch!

It looks like the 'birthday palooza' went well at the Molnau house!!! Sorry I couldn't be around for the fun but it looks like I will be able to help celebrate in August with everyone!!! I hope you all enjoy your gifts I sent your way. I feel bad because I didn't include anything for Jesse in the box...I will just have to hand deliver something in August.

Well, I am going to sign off for the night! Tomorrow the other owner of the company will be in the office so I need to be well rested and on my best behavior. I will have to let you know how it goes tomorrow!

Have a good night! Thanks Jesse for helping with the HUGE fire today!!

Amy
